As part of Shropshire Music Trust's ongoing season, the Ensemble and Alison Balsom embrace both the baroque and British musical worlds in the stunning acoustic of St Chad's Church.
Alison Balsom's meteoric rise was affirmed in 2009 when she was not only one of the featured artists at the Last Night of the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, but was also voted Female Artist of the Year at the Classical Brit Awards. The Ensemble have a special relationship with Alison and the concert features music from their EMI Italian Concertos CD together which rocketed straight to number three in the Classical Charts.
The audience will also be able to enjoy a ‘Behind the Scenes' opportunity, when performers will take part in an informal Question & Answer session immediately after the concert.
This concert is supported by Orchestras Live.
